Composite Veneers in Liverpool
As an adult, straightening your teeth can be a life-changing experience. When you have straighter teeth, cleaning is easier than crooked teeth. Also, your gums will fit more securely around your teeth. On top of that, you will develop a whole new level of confidence once you have a beautiful, brand-new smile.
Over the years, cosmetic dentistry has advanced enormously by offering people more comfortable and confident solutions. Manufacturers have worked long and hard to design orthodontic products that not only look discrete but work just as well, if not better, than traditional braces. Consumers searching for an alternative to braces triggered the demand for new products, leading to greater choices than ever before.
The Invisalign® aligner system has improved over the years using experience and technological advancements.
A beautiful smile is defined by:
- Straightness and symmetry of teeth
- The proportion of teeth and smile width
- The spacing of teeth
- Shape, colour, and fullness of lips
- Gum health and gum line
- Colour of teeth
What are Veneers?
Invisalign® clear aligners, unlike traditional braces, are removable and almost invisible.
We will walk you through the Case Assessment consisting of a set of photos to determine whether you are a good candidate for the Invisalign® treatment.
If we determined this is the right treatment for you, we will take photos, X-rays, and digital scans, or a dental impression, of your teeth. We will create a treatment plan using our state-of-the-art technology to show you what the results will be, using a 3D video.
We will provide you with a series of aligners to wear each day and change out at home This will continue on an average of every 1 – 2 weeks as directed by your dentist. The aligners are very comfortable to wear for 22 hours a day, as recommended. Because the aligners are easy to remove, you can continue your normal oral hygiene routine and your regular diet.
You will be invited back to the clinic every 4 – 6 weeks to monitor the progress and give you new aligners. By the end of the treatment, you need to wear your retainers to maintain your new smile.
The Invisalign® Procedure
The procedure is designed around transparent teeth aligners, tailored to match the individual’s dental requirements. Each Invisalign® treatment is personalised to conform to your teeth. Each aligner stays in place for approximately 2 weeks then your dentist will move you up to the next aligner in the set. Each aligner is designed to bring your teeth closer to their perfect position.
When you visit Sure-Dent Teeth Whitening Liverpool you will go through an initial consultation with your dentist to determine if Invisalign® is the right procedure for you. Your dentist will examine your teeth, evaluate your orthodontic needs and recommend the appropriate treatment. The Invisalign® procedure is not right for everyone so you must keep an open mind. You should let your dentist know how you want your teeth to look when the treatment is completed.
Once your dentist has taken photos and X-rays of your teeth, the information will be passed on to the Invisalign® lab and a model will be created. Using the model, your dentist will show you how your teeth should move to reach the optimal point. Using this information, Invisalign® will create a set of aligners that are perfectly designed for you and only you. Your dentist will fit the aligner and chart the progress of your teeth against the model as the aligner moves them.
As the Invisalign® treatment progresses, you will have to visit Sure-Dent Teeth Whitening Liverpool on a regular basis. Your dentist will check the development and make any necessary adjustments. The duration of the treatment will depend on various factors including the severity of the case. The more severe the case, the more aligners will be required. On average, treatment times are between 12 to 18 months but can vary from one case to another. Invisalign® can only work when it’s worn so you must wear it for at least 22 hours each day, removing it only when you are cleaning your teeth or eating.
How Much Does Invisalign Cost?
Like other types of orthodontic treatment, the cost of Invisalign treatment will depend on the complexity of straightening your teeth and the course of treatment.
How Long Does The Invisalign Treatment Take?
The time it will take depends on the complexity of the treatment and is similar to that of traditional braces. During your initial consultation, we will give you an estimate of time. In general, it’s completed between 4 – 12 months.

Aligners Made Of What?
Invisible aligners are made from a strong medical grade thermoplastic material, developed by the Invisalign® System. The aligners are custom-made for each individual and will fit snugly over your teeth.
How Long Do I Have To Wear The Aligners?
You will have to wear the aligners over the entire duration of the treatment except when you are eating, brushing or flossing your teeth. It’s highly recommended you wear the aligner for 22 hours each day.
Is The Treatment Of Invisalign Painful?
Some people do experience minor, temporary discomfort for a few days when first inserting a new aligner at the beginning of each new stage of treatment. This is perfectly normal and is described as a feeling of pressure. It’s a sign the aligners are working and the discomfort will go away after a few days.
What Restrictions Are In Place For What I Can Eat?
With the Invisalign System, you can eat whatever you want because you simply remove the aligners in order to eat and drink. You can follow up by brushing and flossing after each meal before re-inserting the aligners.
How Should I Clean The Aligners?
The best way to clean the aligners is by brushing and rinsing with lukewarm water and using the Invisalign Cleaning Crystals or special cleaning tablets. Make sure you brush your teeth after every meal before re-inserting the aligners for good oral hygiene.
Will The Alignments Affect My Speech?
Most people have reported absolutely no effects on speech. With traditional orthodontic applications, there is an initial adjustment period associated when something new is placed in their mouths.
Can I Smoke Wearing Aligners?
It’s not advised as the aligners can become stained or discoloured.
Can I Chew Gum?
It’s not advised you chew gum as it can stick to the aligners. It’s advised you remove the aligners when eating.
Is A Retainer Necessary After Invisalign Treatment Is Completed?
Wearing a retainer after treatment is important because it keeps your teeth stable in their new position. If you want your teeth to stay in their perfect position, it’s a good idea to wear the retainer as directed by your dentist at Sure-Dent Teeth Whitening Liverpool. In general, your last aligner will be temporary until your particular retention option is determined. Your provider will advise you on longer terms retention options.
